We believe it is really important that children have a healthy, nutritious and tasty meal at lunchtime. There is lots of research showing that a balanced school dinner can help concentration levels in lessons, and develop long term healthy eating habits.
School Dinners are currently £2.10 per day or £10.50 per week.
If you would like your child to have school dinners please contact the office.
Our children enjoy healthy schools dinners prepared on the premises by Autograph Foodservices, who work to current health and safety, and food hygiene regulations. For more information please see the Autograph Food Service website.
Please send payments for meals required on Monday morning. Money should be in a sealed envelope with the child's name, class, amount enclosed and the days on which meals are required, written clearly on the front. Payment can be made by cash or cheque (payable to Interserve Catering Services) and can be made for a month, half term or whole term in advance.
If you think your child is entitled to free school meals, then please go to the Central Bedfordshire Council website for the latest information and entitlements. Did you know you could be over £400 better off a year with Free School Meals? Plus you are also helping your school get extra funding.
Universal Free School Meal
In view of the Government's recent directive that all children in years Reception 1 and 2 should receive a Free School Meal (known as a Universal Free School Meal) from September 2014, parents and guardians with children in these school years will not need to make an application to the Council to obtain Free School Meals. Parents of children in Reception 1 and 2 will be contacted by the school to establish whether they wish their child/children to have a Universal Free School Meal.
