Our Governing Board

At Silsoe VC Lower School, our Governing Board plays a vital role in supporting and challenging school leaders to ensure that every child has the opportunity to flourish. Working closely with the Headteacher and staff, governors help shape the strategic direction of our school, uphold our Christian vision and values, and ensure that high standards of education, safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing remain at the heart of all we do. Governors provide both support and constructive challenge, holding school leaders to account for educational outcomes and ensuring that resources are used effectively. They are committed to maintaining our welcoming, nurturing and inclusive school culture, where every child is valued, encouraged and supported to achieve their very best. Guided by our vision and “Together We Grow” ethos, our governors work in partnership with the whole school community to secure the best possible opportunities and outcomes for all our children.
