Student Voice
Working together to make our school a more inclusive, fun and kind place to live and learn.
The aim of our Student Voice is to give the children in our school a voice in making decisions that affect everyone.
Our Student Voice consists of our School Council and Eco Council. We try to meet weekly or fortnightly. School Council and Eco Council often will meet jointly, but also meet individually. At the beginning of the school year, each class thought about the British Value of Democracy and voted to elect members of our School and Eco Council.
As School Council, we are currently working on ideas to support local charities and a more worldwide charity. One of the local charities we are supporting this year as a school, is CHUMS. The worldwide charity we are supporting this year is Village Africa.
The School and Eco Council recently worked collectively to think of fundraising ideas for Children in Need.
We recently had a Pyjama day at school to support Children in Need, for which we raised £157 on our Just Giving page.
Already this year, the school council are looking forward to organising events to raise money for our school's chosen charities and have lots of amazing ideas.
In previous years we have been involved in the redesign and update of the school website and showing important visitors around our school.
