All of the children in school use the internet in one way or another and we all have relied even more so on it over the past 6 months with all of our online learning and time spent at home. The children have focused this week on exploring how they use the internet and most importantly how they can do so safely!
Our Year One children enjoyed the E-Safety based story of ‘Buddy the Dog’ followed by a quiz!
Our Year Two children created their own E-Safety posters focusing on staying safe on the internet.
Our Year Three children have begun by exploring the three C’s in more detail.
Our Year Four children explored a number of E-Safety dilemmas and discussed how they would manage them safely.
Through our e-safety learning at school the children are all taught to be critical of CONTENT on the internet as well as what to do if content makes them feel worried or upset. They are also taught how to make CONTACT safely and how to CONDUCT themselves. The children are taught that their values are just as important online just as they are in real life.
Perhaps the most pivotal message within our e-safety learning is that if anything online makes you feel unsure, upset, scared or worried then you MUST always tell a trusted adult immediately.
We really value the support of all of our parents/carers in helping us to promote our E-Safety messages and keep all of our children safe.
