Last year, when the year 4's were leaving all the parents and children were kind enough to buy the school some amazing eco presents. Last week, the eco council set up the nature areas and this week we are making sure that we keep them full of food for the local wildlife. Take a look at the pictures to see the gifts in action.

Last week, we were able to watch a fantastic performance from the year 1, 2 and 3 street dancers. They have been practising during their lunch times and have been keen to share their learning with the rest of the school. We are proud of them for their determination and dedication with excellent dancing skills!
Acorn and Chestnut Class have enjoyed 5 football coaching sessions with Charlie from Luton Town FC. They have learnt to dribble, control and stop the ball as well play some new games.
Thank-you Charlie and Luton Town FC!
Please remember to send your sponsorship forms in by Friday to help us to raise money for this deserving charity.
Silsoe Health and Sports Council have carried out a survey to find out how we are travelling to school.
These are their results…
Walk – 38%
Bike/Scoot – 31%
Car - 31%
We think it’s fantastic that over half of our school (69%) are active in the mornings and either walk, scoot or bike. However we did notice that this has fallen slightly from our last survey taken last April (71%).
Starting our day by walking or scooting/biking to school helps us to be ready for our learning. It helps us to keep our bodies healthy too.
Did you know? The Government suggests we are active for 60 minutes each day, 30 in school and 30 outside of school! Walking/Scooting to and from school is a great way to contribute towards this.
For those of us who do have to travel to school by car – why not try parking away from the school and walking the last 5 minutes?
Remember – a healthy start to the day helps us to learn!
Yesterday, a group of year 3 and year 4 children attended a swimming gala. We are very proud to say that they worked together as a team. The group in the 'Big Pool' worked together and were judged by Parkfield Middle School sports leaders as the winners of the Determination award. We are proud of every child that represented our school and demonstrated their sportsmanship.
