These are their results…
Walk – 38%
Bike/Scoot – 31%
Car - 31%
We think it’s fantastic that over half of our school (69%) are active in the mornings and either walk, scoot or bike. However we did notice that this has fallen slightly from our last survey taken last April (71%).
Starting our day by walking or scooting/biking to school helps us to be ready for our learning. It helps us to keep our bodies healthy too.
Did you know? The Government suggests we are active for 60 minutes each day, 30 in school and 30 outside of school! Walking/Scooting to and from school is a great way to contribute towards this.
For those of us who do have to travel to school by car – why not try parking away from the school and walking the last 5 minutes?
Remember – a healthy start to the day helps us to learn!
