Yesterday Silsoe Lower School went skipping mad when we were lucky enough to have a Dan the Skipping man coach come in to teach us how to skip. She started by having us practise the basic skills individually and then we got the big rope. We first played a game called charge where we had to run underneath the skipping rope whilst it was moving! Then we had the chance to try jumping on the big rope. We started jumping, then changed direction and then if we were really doing well tried hopping and changing legs. We had to show our values of determination and perseverance to keep trying even if we found it difficult. It was great fun and thank you Mrs Ryan for organising it for us!
