On top of our usual Online Safety learning (which we recap every term!) each class explored different activities which focused on different ways we can stay safe when using online technologies.
Acorn and Chestnut - Talked about what 'Online' means and discussed the different technologies we have at home. We focused on the importance of always telling a grown up if we are unsure or worried when using technology.
Willow and Hawthorn - Focused on who can help and support us if we feel worried, scared or unsure when online. We talked about who could help us at home and at school. We also enjoyed the Digi Duck story!
Maple and Sycamore - Focused on how we can all work together to make the internet a kinder place. They wrote some of their own 'Recipes for a Kinder Internet!' thinking about our school values. (Take a look at some of our recipes below!)
Palm and Pine - Talked about information that could and should not be shared online. They then used this learning to create their own avatars, usernames and safe but memorable passwords.
Oak and Elm - Completed an Internet Safety quiz and enjoyed discussing different online scenarios and how to keep safe.
Further to our in school learning about Online Safety on the evening of 23rd February our parents, carers and teachers attended a briefing by Bedfordshire Police about keeping children safe online.
We have all learnt lots and thank all of our teachers, school adults, parents and carers for helping to keep us safe online.
